The Civil Defense Initiative of the United States put out a lot of equipment for an impending nuclear war that never quite happened. Some of that equipment included these CDV 715 and V770 radialogical monitors.
You can wear them and use them to detect radiation on Second Life avatars by clicking on it once to turn it on and again to turn it off. Good for Fallout style sim builds and themes as well as post apocalypse role-play.
