This version is copiable and transferable, perfect for a clothing maker to add this functionality to their own line of clothes.
To add this script to a piece of prim clothing, use the following steps:
1. Either wear the item or place it on the ground.
2. Right click on it and select Edit from the menu.
3. Click on the "More >>" button. If you see a "<< Less" button, skip this step.
4. Click on the Content tab.
5. Drag the script file (RemoveClothing1.3) from your inventory and into this Contents box.
6. Do the same for the settings notecard.
Finally, you can double click on the settings notecard to customize the options for removing this item of clothing. You can do this by either changing the lines already in the notecard, or adding your own. Each line should follow these rules:
1. start with "way="
2. the next part, the title, is what will be put into the dialog as a removal option. For example "remove", "strip", "slide off" ...
3. put "==" after the title
4. the rest of the line is the description that will be sent to chat describing the item being removed. You can add the following special codes somewhere into the description:
%r This will be replaced with the name of the person removing this item
%n This will be replaced with the name of the item being removed
%w This will be replaced with your name
As an example:
way=tear off==%r tears %n off of %w
These codes are not required, though I would recommend that you use the %r code at the very least.
If there are any questions, IM Earle Swenson, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Enjoy.
See item in Second Lifeworks great
works great and easy.. my only issue is, it asks permission to remove.. want it more spontaneous.
