If you're interested in the "seasonal" palette approach to finding colors to match your skin tone, or you need to fix your skin tone to match your outfit, pick up the first Color Lab package. It's free, and it's designed to give you an idea of what colors work with your skin tone BEFORE you go shopping.

If you need a quick tool to "demo" outfit colors WHILE you're shopping, this is the tool. All attachments are designed to work in no-script areas (make sure everything is attached before teleporting to a parcel that restricts visitor scripts).

This package is designed to let you "try on" a color before you commit to buying an outfit. To do so, use the HUD to approximately match the color of the prim attachments from this package to promotional and vendor images of eyes or clothing you want to buy.

The HUD is set up similarly to the HSL color chart from the "edit" window. Clicking the color chart will change the hue and saturation for the prim eyes or clothing. Clicking the gray strip to the right will change the luminosity. You will probably want to click the gray strip at about half-way (for a luminosity value around 50%) before experimenting with the hue and saturation values.

The no-eyelash alpha layer can be used if the lash transparency is interfering or cutting into the iris of your prim eyes. The PG undershirt glitch layer should be used to prevent any embarrassing issues with other viewers' LOD settings and "gray ball" syndrome.

Be aware that because of environmental lighting, and post rendering techniques, colors in clothing advertisements and promotional images may not precisely match the colors of the actual clothes.

Select Color Lab products are available at Westwood Corner in Sexy Bay (Adult), and at the Kumamoto free market in the Kumamoto sim (PG).
