Highly recommended
Beautifully designed and put together. Lots of careful details, in the texturing (walls, floors etc) and in the finish (just look at those carved bannister spindles on the staircase!) Oh, and a snowy roof is included as standard for the winter months.
What really impressed me was the open beams and joists holding up the upstairs floor: they were properly modelled as 3-D objects, giving this cottage a very genuine look. (So many builders in SL don’t bother with them at all, leaving the ceiling/upstairs floor just hanging unsupported in midair, or use a 2-D prim textured with a flat image of ‘joists and shadows’ to give a 3-D effect.)
The slight downside of this complete realism is that the ceiling height, being realistically low, results in the default SL camera angle being somewhat high. No problem: if this bothers you, just use CTRL+mousewheel and SHIFT+ mousewheel to bring it down. In fact the result was so effective that I’ve kept the resulting camera position as my own standard setting for all my SL activities with this avatar.
Expensive at L$2500? This kind of quality has to be paid for, and is worth every penny!

This is really well-made mesh home! It has a warm cottage feel to it. It isn't too big, but also not too small. Everyone who has seen it is well impressed. I am so glad I stumbled across this build. I love it!
