::One of the earliest blackpowder gunblades, Conquest was used in naval warfare by the British against the Spanish Armarda. It consisted of a small cannon mounted onto a greataxe which could be carried and fired into opposing ships and sow great destruction. Most useful in boarding actions, it gave a shocktrooper effect and then could still be used as a deadly weapon in the melee that insued.
