--- MANUAL, RTFM PLS! ---
# How to set up viewers:
- Firestorm: CTRL+P -> Move & View -> Movement -> Make sure "Pressing letter keys affects movement" checkbox is ticked on.
- Default SL Viewer: CTRL+P -> Move & View -> Single click on land: (bottom of the window) -> Set it to "No action".
# Basics:
Use C button (or left mouse click in mouselook) to draw your sword and attack. Typing "draw" and "sling" in chat works too.
# 3rd person view controls:
- Put your thumb on "C" key for attacking, other fingers on "D","W","A" for movement. Use your index finger to press "E" for blocking.
- Left click on your avatar and hold the left mouse button at all times while in combat in order to be able to rotate your view with a mouse. God helps you if you confuse left and right mouse buttons.
- "C" button does all 4 different types of attacks:
Tap it to do a fast attack.
Press and hold it to do a heavy attack.
Tap it while holding any movement button (WASD) to do a lunge.
Hold it while holding any movement button to do a power attack.
- Double tap any movement key to dodge, but I suggest you activating and using the gesture provided with the system bound on "Space" key.
- Hold "E" button to block.
# 1st person view controls:
- Game designed to be played on 3rd person view, but if you are struggling with the controls - you may use 1st person view.
- Controls are the same as in 3rd person view, but instead of pushing "C" button to attack you may use the left mouse button.
- Enable show avatar in mouselook option to see wtf you're doing. CTRL+P -> Move & View -> Show avatar in Mouselook/Show me in Mouselook.

# Basic tactics:
- Use block to counter attacks. It eats away your stamina according to the damage of the countered attack, so use it wisely. It's easily countered by a power attack.
- Power attack is clunky, slow, but hits very hard. If your opponent is blocking too much, then use a power attack on them and it will eat away all his stamina and cause some damage, exposing him to being stunlocked if he fails to dodge.
- Dodge unlocks immediately after executing a strike, unlike movement and ability to block. The most common use for it is escaping vulnerable situations, like being exposed to enemy attacks after missing.
- Heavy attack deal a great amount of damage and cause significant stun time. You can't escape heavy stunlock by simply trying to move away. The easiest way to escape the heavy stunlock is to block the strike and dodge away.
- Fast attacks cause tiny stuns that will interrupt heavy attacks. If your opponent is using heavy attacks, then just make sure you land your fast attacks before he is able to finish any of his heavy attacks. If he will keep trying to execute a heavy attack while being constantly interrupted, it will look like you are stunlocking him with fast attacks.
- Lunge is a perfect starting attack able to shorten the distance and get straight in somebody's face with winning conditions. It's easy to block, costs a lot, and very easy to miss.
- Standing still with full energy slowly regenerates your HP.
- The less health you have, the slower your movement is.
- Every other tactical aspect is for you to figure out.
# Other things to consider:
- Visually it might lag a little bit before all animations are loaded. So try executing every action before getting involved in combat.
- Your running speed and walking speed are the same while this combat system is attached. Make sure to disable "Always run" to avoid being pushed back a little bit after you stop moving in case of sim lag.
- If nobody around has their sword drawn, then health regeneration gets a boost. Always sheathe your weapon after defeating your opponent in friendly 1v1 matches to reduce idling between fights. Type "sling" to sheathe the weapon, or use the gesture provided with the combat system bound on "F" key. Your weapon also gets sheathed automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity.
- Jumping gets restricted and Movement speed is reduced when somebody around has their sword drawn.
- Combat system is ready for team play! Just check "Same Group are allies" in combat system options window and make sure to be in a same active group. To change the current active group press CTRL+T -> Groups -> Right click and Activate the same group as your allies.
- To hide/open combat system options window just click on the central icon with sword.
- Page up and Page down buttons are duplicating E and C buttons.

Either the creator is gone or has abandoned this. There hasn't been an update in years.
Also, you are stuck in running mode while the system is on but not active. Literally cannot walk normally, even when setting the viewer to walk mode. Forced run. Your bento tail animations will break, and so will your AO. LONG overdue for a modern update.
I'd pay 2k for just the combat system, but...
The closed nature of the system deters/prevents other creators from making weapons for it and expanding the system.
I would pay 2k for just the core combat system itself to support the developer, but they want you to buy the sword addons instead as a means of support, which seems... backwards.
I'd love to adopt and use this for roleplay, but customization is kind of at the heart of roleplay. I'm legitimately a bit disappointed.
3.61 is able to be cracked!
You can take the scripts from 3.61 weapons and make your own! Very handy and nice. Would crack again.
P good
I have some mixed feelings about this system. I like the system itself and the animations are top their. However, I would appreciate more customization options in future updates and maybe even voice packs or some kind of Developers kit that allows other creators to make content for it. The potential is here.
I wish the other swords in this shop were a bit more elaborate than just expensive skins. Other fighting styles would be really neat. I'd pay 1500 for a rapier with custom animations and mechanics, but not for a fancy skin I'm afraid.
Good work, I hope to see more.
I wish there was more
I love this hud!!! It's so great!! Perfect!! Fun! easy! smooth! simple! hours of fun with anyone since it's free!
Hope more CS scilab stuff comes out!
Good shit.
I used this system for my Conan RP sim, Uruk. We had a lot of fun with it, people would just spar for hours. It's a shame this meter lost its support, would've been cool to have other stuff added to it but it's still great as it is.
And you can use any weapon with this system -- don't listen to the detractors. All you need to do is make the default free sword that comes with it invisible or size it down and then use any sort of prop in your hand. All the CornerStone weapons have the same stats as the free rusty longsword -- there is no variance between those and the ones SciLab also sells.
Great meter, easily the best melee meter on SL.
