Just in time for Halloween – The Cornfield Skybox

Planning on a Halloween party for your club or sim and want to do something different? Tired of the same old Haunted Houses? At only 59 prims The Cornfield Maze Skybox provides a unique venue for your party, fright night, or trick-or-treat treasure hunt. Constructed with 3 dimensional dry cornfield stalks, the maze contains two large rooms and three smaller ones for your displays, animations, interactive roll play or party rooms. You set the theme and tone of your event: creepy or cute: gory or mysterious. At only 59 prims, with detailed, but low lag textures, it provides the perfect backdrop for your event and leaves plenty of resources for your fx, monsters, witches, psychos, ghosts or clues and prizes. At 64x64m (1/16 region, 4,096 sqm) it can even be used as it own self contained club.

This new version is copy/mod and has clouds slowly scudding across the sky - giving it an even more realistic 3 dimensional feel.

The Cornfield maze comes packed in a rez box for easy set up and contains the following:

306 Dry Corn Stalks on 48 sculpted prim plant forms (3,154L if purchased separate)
64x64m Skybox with scudding clouds and full moon (500L if purchased separate)
2 teleporters

Also available as an open field. See my other listings.

All the Maze parts are modifiable should you want to switch them around and make your own design or a plain dry corn field.. For the purpose of the maze the rows have been doubled for thickness. These can be seprated out into single rows for a normal field.

Both the skybox and a fully decorated outdoor maze with a dance floor are on display at the Haunted Cornfield Maze http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cumberland%20Island/248/198/23

I started landscaping on a history sim where 1/3 of the prims are reserved for tall ships and texture lag can sink a ship. Conserving prims, using low prim items, allows for more role play props to be rezzed. And using high quality, quick loading low lag textures make for convincing detail. Cara Mia Gardens is dedicated to providing the best low prim, low lag landscaping on the grid. After all, a prim saved is a prim earned.

Come see this and many other trees, flowers, and crops in my in-world garden.

A Great, Versatile Addition to Halloween Decor!

This is a very handy item, especially for those with lots of Halloween props and a cluttered space. The skybox takes care of overcrowding on the "ground floor," while the layout of the cornfield, with its mix of large and small alcoves, gives plenty of areas for placing additional items. The height of the cornstalks is especially useful, since no item is visible except when nearing its own alcove. The result is a maze that appears more spacious than it is.

Because it comes in sections, it is also possible to insert a raven rezzer, say, in one section and perhaps a ghostly laugh in another. It is also be possible to move the sections around to create a puzzle maze (which, conveniently, is not its default state).

Do visit the Botanica store, where the cornfield is set up before Halloween, to get ideas for uses of the alcoves.
