The Countdown Board is a great addition to any club or venue which regularly has many visitors, or even at home just to remember important dates!
Configured with a simple notecard you can set any day/dates which are important to you. These could be Public Holidays, Special Club Events, Real Life Birthdays, just about anything you can imagine.
The date is set for an event in the notecard and can be setup in several ways. A SPECIFIC Date can be set... ie. Christmas Day is always on December 25th, BUT you can also set dates to be flexible, as in setting the LAST Friday of a Month or the FIRST Saturday, or with even more flexibility you can also set a date like Presidents' Day (USA Holiday) which is always celebrated on the 3rd Monday of February. No Problem !
Each Event Date can have its own color setup in the notecard, so you could set (for example) all Public Holidays in one color and Special Club Events is another etc. The most common colors can be referenced as "White" or "Yellow", but if you understand the way SL Colors work you can also use a color vector like... "<0.5, 0.8, 1.0>".
We haven't tested the absolute limits for how many events you can store, but we have one client with over 100 event-dates stored, so we know that's at least the minimum ;-)
The Board is modify (mainly for resizing purposes) but, obviously, the scripts are not.
Owners can set their OWN image as a background image in the configuration notecard so no "clever editing" is needed to do this.
Set your own two Title Lines and the Colors for them as well.
