The Mermaid Animation Set was developed to address the question of what happens when a mermaid tries to move around on land. Most Mermaid animation sets simply have the mermaid swim in the air but that ignores the awkward poetry of a graceful mermaid flopping about on dry land. While this animation set does include all the appropriate swimming and flying animations, all of the walking, standing, and running animations keep the mermaid firmly affected by gravity and crawling on the ground.
To use these animations, you will an animation overrider. A simple animation overrider using the Easy Animation Override HUD is provided as a free bonus with this animation set but you can use these animations with a more complex animation overrider if you wish.

needs some work
i know this is an old pack but i guess i was expecting a bit more for the price. A lot of the animations looked more jerky than "fish out of water" but was able to use a few at least in my AO
Great for all crawling
I will admit, i use this for a crawling ao in general. I have a legless avatar i us this with, and it works great. this ao was perfect for my legless avatar. i must declare this to be great for not just mermaid but legless avatars anywhere. (atleast in my opinion)
Standing Animations need work
I love this AO, I always feel like a wicked Ursula crawling across the ground with this ao.
However my only complaint are some of the standing animations, and one of the walking animations, as it has your hands resting almost unnaturally to hold your avatar upright.
Personally I've love to see an expansion pack to this AO with more relaxed poses and walking animations.
A wonderful AO for both mermaids and mermen alike!
The only thing I have to complain about this product is the underwater idle animations are out of place considering the swimming animations are for tails that bend like a dolphin's. Despite that, this product still makes my experience in Second Life as a merman very immersive. Thank you for this!

This was an amazing idea for mermaids, now they can roam the land without floating around in the air. One of the coolest AOs Ive ever had the pleasure of using!

WONDERFUL, perfect for many things; be it traveling across bouts of land OR scaring the socks off of people by zooming out of bushes. Thanks to this ao, I am know as the crawling mer of Never Never Land. Very much love this! <3
