This gorgeous peach velvet gown is inspired by Doucet, a famous Victorian, Edwardian and even 1920s designer. This particular gown is a ballgown of the very late Victorian period around 1898. The gown is embellished with beadwork, lacy sleeves, and flowers made of tulle with velvet leaves. Prims have been used to enhance the sleeves, waist, and corsage on the bodice. The skirts flow beautifully whether you're waltzing or sitting.
Any woman who knew the work of Charles Worth, knew of Jacques Doucet and the House of Doucet.
