New Sculpted Curtains by Overland Trail Elementals.
This pack contains 15 full perm sculpt maps with matching ambient occlusion (shadow) maps to create your own curtain textures.
Two sample textures are also included, a full perm white/off-white texture that can be tinted and at least one no-trans/copy chintz texture included as a sample (pictured on the box).
Please see the License / Tos agreement contained in the box. You may use these sculpts in your own creations to sell and give away as long as they are not full perm or copy trans, but you may not sell or give away the sculpt maps, ambient occlusion map or the sample textures.
INSIDE THE BOX
There are 15 sculpt maps in the set. Each side of a set of drapes is one prim. The first three sculpts are double sided, meaning they can be seen from both front and back. Four through twelve are one-sided sculpts. Thirteen - Fifteen are short swags used to decorate the top of curtains or windows.
Each sculpt comes with the full perm sculpt map, ambient occlusion map, and white/gray texture. There is also at least one no-trans color texture for your own use.
A sample block using all the sculpts is inside the box, showing the curtains with full sets.
MAKING CURTAINS
Each curtain side is made up of 1 one-prim sculpt. Create a curtain for both sides of the window by rezzing a copy, duplicating it with "click and drag". Go into edit mode, click the "Mirror" box on the object tab and you will have a matched set (see samples)
USING AMBIENT OCCLUSION MAPS
Ambient Occlusion maps are shadowed maps created in a 3D program along with the sculpt to add shadows and realism to a sculpt.
Use them to create your own curtain textures. Load the AO and whatever texture you would like use as separate layers in a graphics program (photoshop or the like)
In Photoshop, experiment with blending modes such as soft light, hard light or multiply to get the effect you want. Play with with transparency of the
AO layer to change the intensity of the shadows.
Curtains often look best with a very subtle
effect.
