My opus for the summer, a really dandy aircraft that fits in just right with SL and flies great.

• Aircraft is MODIFIABLE & COPYABLE scripts are no mod except the listener, API for parts moving given so you can do your own fly code.
• Lowish memory usage: 5.48 kilobytes to 5.41 kilobytes of memory currently used, according to llGetUsedMemory, & llScriptProfiler methods.

SHFT-A or arrow & SHFT-D or arrow=Rudder, E/C=Speed; logarithmic!
In local chat type: g=gears; f=flaps; start/stop; open/close; unlock/lock; smoker/smokel

On Firestorm, go to preferences > chat and set "Pressing letter keys" to "Affects Movement (ie WASD) as well as any of the options you want to use on Preferences > Move & View.
I HATE firestorm and use Singularity instead.
*If you are an aeroplane enthusiast who wants uber realism go play msFlightSim '98. 4tehlulz.* ahem that is you meg. If you are a google nut, I have multiple permission to share this plane.
I also contacted Diamond Aircraft, the real life manufacture and they said they don't care! IF you notice also and DA trademarks have been removed anyhow by myself. I OWN THIS MESH!

This plane flies like she's sim crossing the enter time you're in the air. The way it roles and shut off automatically in flight is so funny its sad.. One of the worst planes I've ever flown in sl And if you're going to build something, don't build it with just a child size cockpit version, think of the adults in sl too...

The error is: this aircraft moves ashore as if it were in the air.
It has its flaws but for the money it is a good beginner plane
I own several planes in SL and fly them regularly. I bought this plane after seeing the mixed reviews and wanted to see for myself. I rezzed the plane and read the instructions first. The mesh is of adequate quality, it is a cute plane. The controls are easy to master, the commands are simple. I took it for a flight around my sim and went through the controls. It does what it is supposed to do. This is a plane to go for a leisurely flight. Don't expect it to be suited for aerial acrobatics but it is good for a cruise. All in all, you can't go wrong for 100l$ if you are looking for a plane that will take you into the air and give you the experience of flying a plane over your sim or over sims around the Blake Sea. The thing i really don't like is that the shadow is triggered by the landing gear. If you are looking to add a simple plane to your collection, this is a good one and for the money you get a decent product.
very poor product
I bought this aircraft yesterday and within a few minutes, deleted it. The props would not turn, it would not respond to any chat or keyboard commands. I got an up date today and it would start, props would spin, but it would not take off. The controls are backward; i.e. push right arrow, it taxi's left, push left arrow, it taxi's right. Even with flaps down, it would not take off at any throttle setting. The creator may use Singularity, but most people don't. If the creator made this aircraft only for that viewer, they should state that in the marketplace add. Even at 100L, this is a waste of time and money.
A Gift for The Beginning Pilot and Others Too
I have been flying planes in SL for nine years. I almost always fly aerobatics, but for some reason I found it fun to fly this plane.
I have the highest regard for MegAnn Mills as a scripter. I think she is one of the best aircraft scripters in SL. So after reading her review vs. those of others I had to see for myself :-)
Let us not forget the near free price of this plane and you get three versions for that price! It's a twin engine with several seats.
I enjoyed flying it. Yeah, sure it doesn't turn as snappy as most, but for a cruising craft who cares? I found it to be an excellent sim crosser. If you press shift while turning on the ground it does not bank. While not the most preferred set up, many higher-priced planes have this method. I was disturbed by the shadow while flying until I realized my gear was down and the shadow disappears the moment you pull up your landing gear with the standard "g" command. My first landing was smooth, but a little sloppy only because I did not realize how wide the plane is :-)
I know of no plane in SL under $900 that has a working rudder, most cost well over $1,000.
Sure the rudder would be more useful in the air if the plane turned faster, but this plane is not a aerobat that costs $1,700
I saw the commands listed in chat the moment I selected "fly" from right clicking. Entering "help" in chat brings-up a full note card with commands.
It is an easy plane to fly.
My sole real criticism is that I could not see the HUD. I tried different HUD attachment points by selecting free points. I never tried just "wear." LOL.
My rating is based on a performance/price basis and its intended purchaser type. But even if it cost five times as much I'd still give it a good rating.
Megs review is harsh but educational for SL aircraft scripters.
Looks good, needs some fine tuning on the scripts.
The plane looks very nice, but the scripts tend to be a bit picky. For most of us that have tried planes from back when it used to be prim based, this one flies rather well. You just need to reset the scripts when you first Rez it. So it is a decent plane for its price.
