I made this and the saffron crocus plants for the Silk Road hunt. This is a plant that would have been transported along the silk road. Maybe transplanted to greenhouses or even gardens in the right climate.

Turmeric
Turmeric is from India and has been used as both a dye and a spice - which gives food that distinctive red-gold color. Turmeric was probably cultivated at first as a dye, and then became valued as a condiment as well as for cosmetic purposes. It is often used in cooking as a substitute for the more costly saffron. In the 13th century Marco Polo wrote of this spice, marvelling at a vegetable which exhibited qualities so similar to saffron.
Familiar to the contemporary world as a prime component of curry powder, the orange-yellow rhizome's striking colour lent it a special aura in ancient India.

This 1 prim plant looks great potted or in a garden. Enabling you to put them in your greenhouse or landscape - as cultivars from the very roots of human civilization, along with the romance of the Silk Road.

The included full perm sculpt map and texture enable you to make a 1 prim turmeric plant. No-trans example sculpt included.

This is available for viewing at my shop.

Size and texture for your custom builds and landscapes. These are full perm sculpt maps and textures for builders use to apply to your own creations.

PERMISSIONS:
My textures and sculpt maps are sold with full permissions, and are meant to be used in your creations. Consider the creations that incorporate my textures to be free to sell or give away as you wish - they are your objects and you should enjoy the fruits of your labor.

However, please do not resell these textures or maps themselves, nor give the textures away, neither in SL nor outside of it. A lot of work and care went into each texture or sculpt and I ask that you respect my right as a creator, as you expect others to respect yours. For that reason do not pass out the items created with my textures and sculpts with full permission.

Available in my shop as well, along with many other sculpts and textures. I do have a number of herb and edible plant textures as well

Feel free to drop a notecard to Sea Warcliffe in-world if you have any questions or suggestions.

To use the included sculpt maps (which will look like textures in your inventory, and will be clear if you double click on them):
Q. How do I create a Sculpted Prim from a texture?

* First create a regular prim (any type). Then edit it, and in the object tab change the prim type to sculpted. You'll then be able to select the sculpt texture on that tab. The "Texture" tab will allow you to change the surface texture.
