[DECHITA] Dim Sum Skybox
Made a house with lotsa wooden windows, which made me think of those wooden/bamboo steamers and my stomach grumbled thinking of Dim Sum. Ya, I should name my prefabs more responsibly. I know.
This package includes 2 versions of the same prefab and some extras.
1. Original skybox (40 LI)
2. Lower LI version (24 LI)
3. Simple matching bench
4. Simple ceiling lamp to be used with advanced lighting
Comes with texture changer with 3 sets of textures. You can also opt in to use materials, but you need to have advanced lighting and indoor light sources to fully appreciate them.
It may seem No Mod in your inventory but the structure itself is fully modifiable once rezzed.
Technical notes:
Since this is a skybox and is supposed to be only viewed from inside, I did not add elaborate LoD models for LoD 3 and 4. Everything will look fine with the default RenderLODFactor as long as you are in the skybox, but the skybox will turn into a simple box when viewed from far away. Exterior wall textures look blurry for the same reason. You can still use it on the ground level but I honestly don't recommend it.
I went overboard with polygonal details this time and the LI count is not really great. I felt bad and made a lower LI version. The only difference is the stone carvings on the exterior walls. :(
Credit where it's due:
The trees in the ads are made by Studio Skye but you all know that.
Also, a RL house by Studio Mumbai is the main source of inspiration for the windows downstairs. I originally wanted to make a modified and smaller version of Chinese courtyard house and came across the pictures of the house while browsing architecture websites for reference.
As always, don't hesitate to IM Chie Salome for questions and suggestions!

Awesome!
This is an awesome build.
The textures are great and there are 3 preset options to choose by tapping on the wall. The versatility or the courtyard is excellent. It will fit on a 512, but I found that putting it on a 1024, then you can deck it out nicely. So, if you are looking for a skybox with style and character, and you want to have some extra prims and not break the bank, this is the one.
I love this, thank you.
This is very well made. I'm sure there have to be differences between the high Land Impact version and the lower one. All I could tell for sure was the one window texture. They do look very similar. I would definitely recommend this.
