- shout/talk
- transmit without repeat
This is a cool gadget im using it since last year and i dont have any problem with it.
If you wanna turn on and off the mic (without other can see) on main channel, just type
/99 micon
/99 micoff
Ok, unfortunately I can't go higher than three stars on this as is, for several reasons:
First of all, doesn't look like you can issue commands hidden on channel /1 for instance. So you're spamming micon, micoff, shouton, shoutoff in main chat all the time. Very uncool in a busy club.
Second, the non-repeat thing works great if you put in /99 whatever - you get a spoken or shouted green announcement. Brilliant, you say? Yes.... except it picks up everything you say on channel 0 too! So if you just type normally you're repeating everything, which is expressly what is not needed.
I woiuld have given it 2 stars for all those flaws, but it's cheap and looks pretty decent and you can indeed do non-repeating shouts and talks using the /99 technique... so you just have to remember not to speak at all except on channel 99.
Stop it from repeating channel 0 talk and make it listen on channel /1 (or some other channel that isn't 0) for the on/off commands and it would have been a solid five stars. Pity.
But if you can live with the flaws, it's a pretty useable shout/announcement mic as is.
