•••Crofter's Mill - Version 2.0•••
7.27.13
Thanks goes out to Faust Steamer for helping me out with the Wheel, which had been giving EVERYONE issues with respect to rotation! That is now completely (As far as I know and have tested) FIXED! Rezzer 2.0 has the Wheel and Wheel Walls linked to the building, meaning it can be moved and rotated to ANY angle on the Z axis! Just.. don't turn it upside down or anything like that...
GREAT BUILD
Don't let a bad review pull you from this millhouse. There is a trick. And I had to learn it the hard way. The wheel works just fine, and always will, AS LONG AS.. you do not unlink the cellar floor. Don't ask me why. But I have played with this thing, stripped it down, pulled this and that, even put the wheel on the other side of the house. It can sit anywhere as well, as long as you don't unlink that floor. We just did a rebuild on our sim and literally built a waterfall, JUST so this house could still be used. People love it, even though I stripped it down you about 30 prims lol.
Visual build....works fine.
I guess the water wheel issue has been fixed because it worked great for me...putting it wherever I wanted. The gears on the inside are spectacular. I wish the builder had made all space available but easy to mod. Great build
Great build
Unlike the other two reviews, I think this build is fantastic. The water wheel works fine and it looks great on my sim. I love it!
WARNING..........DO NOT BUY
I just bought this building......and the waterwheel would not work properly. After the builder came out and looked at it, She decided that the fault was totally mine because the building must be at a specific angle...does not matter where your water is. I requested a refund...and the builder refused...claiming the building works fine......you just cannot position it to where you need it. Well...that is rather worthless!!!!!!!!!!
Do not buy from this seller...she is the worst seller I have dealt with in SL
Really gorgeous
This is quaint and lovely and the textures are extremely nice and I am very happy. The reason why I am giving it only four stars is that it appears that the waterwheel and stone can only work in one direction -- in my case north. Any attempt to move the rezzer or reposition -- things went very VERY badly. I tried several times and with several methods (turning a new rezzor to the position it needed to be and then rezzing for example - typing in an exact 90 coordinate rather than turning by hand -- ). Didn't help.
I am not new. I am a builder. I make mesh :D. And I imagine I could have grabbed all the pieces after rezzing and repositioned them. In my case there was so much stuff in the way that was pretty much impractical. I ended up moving it to another area so it would work correctly. So just a warning about this and if I am completely off the mark, I am sure the builder will put a comment in.
The same thing was happening at the rezzor at the store although I did get it to rez correctly there eventually. Not lag. 84fps :D. So some help on that would be good for future buyers.
There is a basement that I completely missed when going through the model - :D. A bonus!
