*DS* Info Sync HELP
The idea for this product is the following, you put up several signs for advertising, event announcements, or similar on your region. But so that you don't have to jump to each sign individually when you want to update the content, you just use the hud to replace the content of each sign region-wide.
● Step 1)
Place the desired number of signs on your region.
Note that each sign and the hud must have the same channel in the object description.
● Step 2)
Edit your hud with the building menu and switch to the Contents tab.
In the Content tab, place a texture from your inventory and anything else you want to pass on via the signs.
IMPORTANT:
Please note that you must have all rights to your content.
For example, the scripts can not pass content if you lack the copy rights.
Also the texture should ideally be fullperm, otherwise it can not be displayed.
But you can restrict the permissions for the next owners without any problems.
● Step 3)
Now you can do everything else via the hud.
➊ Click on the satellite icon and each sign will report back.
➋ Use the paper plane to send the complete content to all signs.
➌ The recycle bin empties the hud and the signs.
➍ The last button on the far right resets the hud and the signs.
● Additional Informations:
Above the button there is an indicator for the number of signs on your region.
If the counter shows 2x the same number, the hud is done with transfer.
If you have more than one region, you will have to visit each region and repeat the procedure.
All the contents are given to the visitors via the signs, when clicked as a folder.
The folder has the same name as the contained texture, so that people can find it in the inventory.
This means that an existing texture is essential for naming.
The scripts of the system are never passed on in any transmission.
For deleting the contents and resetting, prior feedback of the individual signs is not necessary.
It is not a problem if several owners use the same system on one region.
Only if you want to use several systems yourself, it is necessary to make a copy of the hud first.
Now you have to adjust the channel in the object description in the hud and at the corresponding signs.
After a reset of the new system, both systems work independently of each other on one region.
I recommend a manual reset via the building menu, so that the already existing system does not react.
The scripts of the signs can be used in own objects, note that the display for the texture is set on the face 0 (zero).
If you ever forget where your signs are located, just click on the names of the signs in the chat that report back.
