The WhoZon HUD does pretty much what it says on the box. Tells you who's on. You can give it the names of up to eight people and it will notify you when they log on.
I wrote it for a friends who's WAY more popular than I am. To the point that her chat windows was frequently a wall of log on / log off messages. WhoZon lets her turn off the log on/off notifications in her viewer and still get told when the people she really wants to know about log on or off.
And yes, I'm on her list...
I mean... At least I think I am...
Anyway, the HUD displays the profile photos of the people who are online as well as optionally giving you an audio and/or text alert when they log on. Clicking their profile photo will give you links to open their profile, start an IM session with them, or start a voice chat with them - assuming both you and they have voice enabled of course.

There is a bug in SL ( https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-6831? ) which can cause up to a 10 minute delay in the log off notification being passed along to the sim server. Log in notices occur normally so this only turns up when someone logs off but I wanted to make you aware of the issue in advance.
