...I broke a personal vow never to risk wasting L$ on something lacking in description and having no availability to see inworld. I've been burned enough in 7 years to know not to buy from merchants like this. The hanging one looks OK, decent particle fire, but the standing version has a base that looks like a 10 year old kid welded it together out of scrap rebar. The description, as with much lighting in SL, is vague and doesn't mention whether it casts ambient light or is just flame which creates no lighting around it. The latter applies, it casts no ambient light, yet it is lighting.... With cheapies I get it, fine, but for over L$200 I expect more, or at least the ability to see it inworld, or this detail about it in the description. I messaged 'Diiar' regarding my concerns, to see what this merchant's response would be, BEFORE giving a negative review. After a couple of weeks I heard nothing so...here it is, a bad review. Whether or not a fire - or an object which by design is meant to light up an area actually lights up the area around it - should be in the description, if one can't go to a store and see it inworld....especially if it's over L$200. I added a script to cast light but, NEVER again will I give any putz L$200 if they have minimal descriptions, no inworld store and won't respond when messaged.
