A tall imposing tower, rumoured to be the haunt of a dreaded sorcerer, or the keep of a powerful warlord, but known to all as Darkmere Tower. This is a large, spacious tower, the main body an octagonal shape with a tall entry hall flanked by two smaller towers in front. Three large floors make up the main tower, and from the roof jut three more smaler towers.
The first floor is entered through the entry hall, flanked by stained glass windows on high. Inside, a secret door opens to a hidden spiral staircase that takes you to the second floor library, entered through a secret sliding bookcase. Inside stained glass windows open at a touch. A door takes you to the spectacular outside winding staircase that moves you through a series of arches into the turret opening of the third floor. A similar outside staircaase takes you to the roof finally, with plenty of room for relaxing while dropping boiling oil on those below.
A small tower encloses a spiral staircase up to the bridge that connects you to the Observation tower, which offers a wonderful high vantage point to observe your surroundings. High windows built into the tower peaked roofs glow at night to show that something is astir.
Darkmere has a footprint of 27mx13m. Height to the main top platform is 30m, while the height of the highest tower roof is 62m. It's 381 prims total, though this can be lowered by removing some of the spiral stairways and using tports (not included) instead. The secret sliding bookcase can be set to password control for access. A fine Gothic structure.
This is a stunning castle and fits in a surprisingly small footprint. The detail and texturing is top notch. The structure does use a lot of prims to get that look though it is mod if you want to try reducing that.
This is excellent. Great details and really fun to live in and fits in a small parcel.
This is just plain stunning. A very well detailed and beautiful tower. I'm glad somebody is making buildings for smaller lots.
The downside is that all the detail makes it very prim heavy, I had to cut a lot of prims out to fit it on my lot (784m/350prims), which is why it's awesome that it's sold with mod perms. But even with reduced details it still looks awesome!
Highly recommend if you're in the market for a castle/lab/whatever you fancy.
This castle is better than described. You'll enjoy the fine building quality and superb texturing. You'll also enjoy the secret doors, the narrow stairs, the high vantage points, the bridge between towers and much more. One of the best purchases I've made on SLexchange. Unsolicited review.
