Woah, Freakin' Awesome!
The creator put some serious love into this outfit, and she pushed pre-mesh prim technology to the absolute limits to get a very plausible authentic vintage 1920's 'Flapper' look. The workmanship here is just gorgeous- must have labored over it for weeks.
...About the fit
Theres no doubt that fitting this is not for anyone who doesn't have a bit of prior experience meddling with prim era clothes. Get someone else to help you if you don't.
It took me about an hour to tame this finicky demanding piece. The big deal is getting the prim skirt to fit. Wear adjust it to your avi's upper hip line. It should sit right on the lower line of the pants waist hem. The skirt will be too big, so make a couple of large resize shrinks, followed by several finer and finer adjustments, whilst rotating your avi each time to make sure the skirt waist isn't digging into your avatar's bod. At the same time, make very very small left and right pull outs each time the skirt does dig in (which it will), until everything looks good in the waist all the way around.
Don't expect a perfect seamless fit with the skirt fronds, cause that aint gonna happen. But thats fine to, because RL Flapper skirt fronds were made to 'give' ie fall between the legs and to one side- its was (and is) considered a set look. And it still is.
Yes, this is gonna be a pain in the ass, but a little patience perseverance will be well worth it, cause this is a magnificent SL period piece. Go for it.
Absolutely beautiful
This is a very stunning costume, perfect for any 1920's sim. It sparkles and shines, making you stand out from the crowd very easily! 5 stars :)
Happy with this freebie
This dress worked out fine for me. I was able to adjust things enough to fit my slimmed down 20s shape and it came out looking pretty neat.
Editting difficulties
No matter what I tried, I could not get the skirt nor the head piece to fit properly. I ought to have taken the advertised picture as a warning.
