This is a simple DEMO sign I made for myself for rigged or unrigged wearable products that need a demo. It's a ring about 1.2m diameter that is RIGGED about a metre above the head of the avatar. As such, it's obvious (who's going to walk around like that, trying to use your demo 'for real'? - not anyone who would actually pay for it anyway) and is also out of the way enough not to interfere with viewing your product.
I've made it cheap, because everyone should be making demos of their products for people to try. No demo = no sale!
You can change the texture; only the outer face is mapped (a simple edge to edge rectangular mapping). The inner and edges are one face and should be set to a sold colour.
When attached, the rigged sign stays above and moves with the avatar. It cannot be repositioned or resized.
Link any wearable item to it; rigged or not. Rigged items will always go where they are rigged of course. Non-rigged items will need to be linked as the root and positioned normally. That way, when attached, they will go where they should. You can ignore where the Demo ring ends up while doing this when rezzed; the demo ring always goes where it should when attached, being rigged.
Once linked, you should set the permissions of your completed demo to NO-MOD, NO-TRANSFER. Otherwise you've just given your product away.
This product is only licensed for you to transfer to others as a NO-MOD, NO-TRANSFER demonstration of your product. It must not be resold alone, or in any way transferred to another account for any other purpose than as stated above.
