Dettifoss is Europe's most powerful waterfall, located in Northern Iceland, it was one of the filming locations for Promethius, the Alien Prequal Directed by Ridley Scott. Dettifoss gets its grey colour because it is high in levels of sediment from the Vatnajokull glacier which is located to the south, upstream of the waterfall.
