This product replaces the former 'Digital Sundial' with two Digital Clocks which show the regional time calculated from the position of the Sun using the function llGetSunDirection, and setting sunrise & sunset at 6am & 6pm respectively. This gives a more realistic & reliable indication of Estate Time than the function llTimeOfDay, which only gives the "time since last region restart or SL midnight (based on SL 4 hour day)" (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGetTimeOfDay). The displays are updated at 1 second intervals, and there is no rez-delay as the scripting uses single texture offsetting.

The Digital Cube Clock displays the time on the 4 vertical faces of a single prim cube, and optionally also as floating text above. The Cube can either be stationary or spin at one of 4 speeds, which can be cycled by touch (left-click). At the start of each cycle, the floating text will change to the next of 3 options: no text, time only, or "Estate Time" with time below. A stylish single-prim pedestal is included for mounting this clock.

The Digital Step Clock performs in a similar manner, but without spin options.

  • single prim
  • no rez-delay of display
  • synchronised to estate time
