This conversion kit allows a skilled builder to modify their MG Dogcart into a historic cabriolet design popular in metropolitan cities in the late 1800s.
The Hansom Ponygirl Cab is based upon the design of a classic Hansom Cab, which was invented by Joseph Hansom.
Hansom cabs became immediately popular after their introduction in the 1830s and could be found in most major cites ranging throughout Europe to North America, with some cabs serving even into the 1930s! The Hanson Cabs were swift, low-slung, lightweight carriages drawn by a single horse. Their agility and stability made Hansom Cabs ideally suited to dart through and around the increasingly heavy vehicle traffic that had begun clogging industrial era city streets. Riders enjoyed the comfort and privacy of the semi-enclosed passenger compartment, which also offered protection from mud and rain. Drivers benefited from the unobstructed view of the high, spring cushioned driving position on the back.
Our Hansom Ponygirl Cab version of the Hansom Cab stays true to its origins by being pulled by a single ponygirl. Faster and more agile than a traditional dogcart, the Hansom Ponygirl Cab can quickly whisk two passengers to their destinations and deliver small parcels across town.
For Use: Strip the dogcart down to everything but the physics root prim, invisible bumper, three seats, and the cage bars. Use the cage bars for the luggage rack. Make the seats invisible and position into place over the cushions and use the included seat setting notecards.
