Hiya and Greetings,
I first made these screen way back in the early part of 2006, when second life was a simpler place. Mesh, Sculpties and even Flexi Primes were yet to be invented. I had a 512 square meter plot of land with the obligatory Archer Home by Bill Stiring, (the best freebie house available).
I need a back drop for one corner of my home to bring in some colour, while using them minimum number of precious prims. And I guess a lot of other people had the same need as they sold remarkably well.
I've kept them on market place long past the time they should have been retired out of a sense of nostalgia. Anyways I recently had one of those idle afternoons and to waste an hour or so, updated the old screens to mesh. Added the frame they should always have had, while reducing the prim count.
They can be used straight out of the box, or unlinked and adjusted as desired. The outer frame can be re-textured and re-coloured, likewise the central panel can be tinted different back ground colours.
Each panel is 0.5 prims, so two linked together gives a prim count of 1 prim. So remember to relink them if you take them apart to adjust them.
The other thing to remember is that the prim count of mesh changes with it's size, these panels enlarge well and go up a fair bit before the prim count expands, just keep an eye on it if your using them as wall partitions.
My thanks for your custom & please enjoy.
