Dryad Hair ~SUMMER OAK~ by Caverna Obscura
Have you ever seen a real dryad, with the skin like tree bark or wood? Don’t you think it looks silly that normal human hair grows out of their wooden skin? :D No worries! No need to wear human hair anymore, and bald dryads can finally grow a tree on their fertile heads. The vegetation is rooted in your skull and the crown is full of fresh leaves. Imagine the gentle rush of leaves and soft humming of the roots near your ears wherever you go. You will wonder how dryads lived without this, once this grows on you ;)
This set includes 2 variants: with large leaves, and with entire branches. All models have optional falling leaves particles that you can turn on/off by chat command. The no mod “hair base” tattoo layer is included (bark skin on the head only). All sculpted hair is copy/mod.

Fantastic Look, Implementation Problems
I love this hair to no end. But sadly, it has a number of problems that limit its use.
* It has 62 linked prims, resulting in a land impact of 62. With Second Life's new avatar complexity features, you're far more likely to be "derendered" wearing this.
* It's composed of "expensive" sculpties in terms of rendering complexity, not mesh.
* There are permission problems - the particle scripts in it are set as "no copy", which means once this hair is rezzed it becomes no copy.
A mesh version of this with fixed particle scripts would really go a long way. The upside is the sculpties do allow it to be drastically modded and recomposed into different looks.
