just what I was looking for.
I have bought a good dozen music scripts, from prices ranging above 7000L to 200L. This script works perfect for what I want. The only thing I would like different is if you could set up a playlist so it goes from one song of your choice to another! Works great in a hud as well as in world prims. Works great alongside the dance scripts I have in my hud.
Good script, bad customer service
This script is very good. It has a lot of features, and is easy to work with. It does what it says it will do. The major flaw is something that I'm not actually sure can be fixed. Sounds in SL can only be 10 sec or less, so songs are a series of short clips that play one after another. That's just how it is. And when it goes from one clip to the next, there can be glitches because of loading time. The amount of lag determines the severity. But I'm pretty sure there are "preloading" functions that can be written into scripts that can eliminate these glitches. This script needs that to make more professional products. But I have written Rian to ask about this and a few other questions, and he does not respond. That is the reason for the low rating. Rian, if you respond I will remove this bad rating!
Great Product!
I only write reviews when products are extraordinary. End of story. Does everything it says. Simple instructions.
Good app if your prepared to work with it...
Purchased this quite some time ago, & with some work on my part it does what I need it to do.
Great for creating play anywhere audio, very useful in vehicle design for cd players.
However, saying 'any number of songs' is all very well but the user still needs to either break down songs into various 10sec wav files manually (which is what i do, very time consuming & can cost quite a lot if uploading multiple clips/songs) or purchase the wav files if they can find them on mp.
Then, after all that, the uuid's for each separate clip must be pasted into a notecard to make up the song lists. So although a neat app in it's player functionality, it still requires a great deal of work by the user to get some good original playlists up & running.
This is still though, as far as I know, the best medialess solution for playing audio in SL.
If your prepared for the work involved in making those playlist's this is a good investment. 4/5.
