Dvandva Open Online Status

The Open Online Status Gadget allows you to :

- track the online status of a person
- assign person by having them click display
- automatically display their name
- automatically display their profile picture
- optional paging sends a teleport URL to local chat
- can give notecards, landmarks and object
- you can also use your own picture in the display

There are two version included in the package. One version has the information giver button on the bottom and the other version does not. If you don't need to give out information this will save you a prim.

Setup

1) Rez the Open Online Status gadget

The "Open Online Status w/info" has the ability to give out notecards, LMs, and objects.
The "Open Online Status" will save you a prim if you don't need this feature.

2) Have the person whose status will be displayed click the object.

Once the gadget is set to track a person it may be changed by the owner clicking on it.
If the owner is the person being tracked then you can not change it and must rez a new
copy to have someone else tracked.

3) Optionally add Landmarks, Notecards, or Objects into the inventory of the gadget
that will be given when someone clicks the "Click here for information" button.
Make sure these items are copy/transfer.

4) The subject may turn the paging function on and off by clicking on the gadget

If the subject clicks any part of the gadget it will toggle the ability of others to send
a page by clicking the gadget. If there is text above the gadget ("click to page")
then this feature is active. If there is no text above the gadget then you have
deactivated this feature.

Please note that if you have recently added or changed your profile picture that it may take up to 24 hours for your picture to be available. The tool will check every hour for a new or changed profile picture.

Your online status will be checked once every 30 seconds.

If you want to use an different picture than is in your profile you can deactivate the profile picture update feature by typing the following in chat: /1YOS No Update

To reactivate this feature type: /1YOS Update

Please note that you may not remove any of the scripts from gadget.
