Introduction

The Dvandva Regular Polygon Maker allows you to build multi-sided shapes and structures with just a few menu clicks. A regular polygon has all the sides equal. You can make different sizes of polygons or structures in which all all sides are the same.

Once you determine the number of sides that you want the next step is to decide on the size. There are two different methods to determine the size of the polygon.

The first method is called 'By Radius' and is the distance between the center point and the middle of one of the edges. If you are using 'By Radius' to determine the size you can set the edge length to make the edge itself smaller or larger. If you reduce the edge length you will get gaps between the segments like a fan blade. If you add Hollow to this you can create 'posts'.

The second method is 'By Edge' and is the length of the the edge. If you are using the 'By Edge' method to determine the length you can make the radius larger or smaller. If you extend the radius to be proportionally greater than the edge length you will get a fan like shape.

You can always switch back to a fitted proportion by setting either Radius or Edge to 'Calculate'.
