Dynamic Archery - Targets & Tournament System Version 2.37
• 4 GAMES (Points, Timed, Accuracy, Popup Gallery), 2-4 LEVEL (Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard)
• depending on game+level, targets may hide/show, move, be different size
• is a perfect progressive training & practice system
• Scoreboard shows best or all scores, and historic highscore for each game/level
You cannot simply go into mouselook and slowly aim and keep reshooting. Many different targets (circulars, deer, knights, birds, wands) will hide and then re-appear in a different place, so you must continuously re-aim.
As well, the target color shows the difficulty (green-easiest, yellow, orange, red=hardest) and you get more points for harder targerts - but beware, the harder targets move faster and are visible for shorter times. At the harder levels you need to very quickly chose what to shoot at.
The entire system was carefully designed to be used as a progressive training system. It encourages mastering basic skills, and then moving to improve them and to acquire new ones. Once at the higher levels, it provides excellent practice for experienced shooters and provides a good tournament facility.
Although simple to use, the dynamic movements force you to quickly develop good eye-hand aiming and shooting skills. The accurate scoring forces you to develop accurate aiming, and any level with moving targets force you to develop good skill at "leading" a moving target to score well.
This is the full professional "Targets & Tournaments" range, a major step up from the already impressive "Personal Practice" system, You chose what game to play (Points, Timed, Accuracy, Popup-Gallery) and what level to compete on. Many competitors can use it and it will show the resulting scores ordered from best on down. Its scoreboard also shows the highest score achieve for each selected game and level.
The circular scoring is very precise. It does not use the clumsy/unreliable method of multiple-prim rings, it uses a single prim and then uses a mathematical algorithm to calculate the actual surface hit position and then scores 1-10 points based on that. The other targets use similar accurate scoring based on their main body area.
Because the targets uses physical collisions, it can be used with almost any weapon that fires a physical object (arrow, bullet, etc). Therefore it works with SpellFire Bows, DCS Bows, GM Bows, and others (as well as most Guns). Note that the shooting pad has a "CONFIG" notecard so the owner can optionally specify a specific required bow.
If you do not have a bow, or your friends do not, it includes a dispenser for a very simple free bow (no sheath, no Draw/Store commands, just wear and mouselook shoot). If several people are shooting, you can all use this same bow for fair and even competition. If you dont want to use it, just delete the dispenser. Most people interested in this range will already have one (or several) sophisticated bows - and all your different bows will each give you a very different experience due to reload/reshoot times, arrow drop aiming, etc.
