Mesh dresses are generally in 5 standard sizes.
Meshes need an appropriate viewer . Mesh enabled is the Second Life Viewer and other you can find in http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mesh, with many useful informations.
If you have the gown with resizer, and you need to enlarge or make it smaller, just click on it and choose all prims - or one prim if that you want - and resize it. Please do it slowly, waiting the time it takes to resize.
