Rich atmospheric WIND sounds that suit for an abandoned place, a mountain peak, maybe wild west town with tumbleweed ...
- Uses 3 prims at once to create an amazing 3D sound environment.
- Lasts 4X longer than ordinary sounds
- Crisp high quality recording.
- Exact volume control via a notecard.
- Owner toggle for invisible mode, with a simple click.
It's lonely sounding, oddly relaxing.
- Wind sand storm in the desert
- Very desolate sounding space
- Good for western scenes
- Works for frosty, snow, mountains too
Should be longer or less concise...
The problem is basically that you realize that the same wind is constantly repeating itself. That gets a bit annoying in the long run.
If the wind was perhaps more even but still recognizable as wind and or also longer, it would be less noticeable if it always repeats itself.
Or let the first wind become quieter towards the end, not too quiet, so that the impression of absolute wind silence does not arise and continues with about the same volume with another wind audio file behind it, which then becomes louder again and quieter towards the end, where then the other audio file begins again. Or you let one audio file merge into the other for a good transition. The sound of the wind should then of course fit together in the different audio files.
Maybe you could also rotate the sound slowly - but there I have no experience
Unfortunately I don't yet know how to automatically chunk audio files so that they fit together in SL without a gap.
I guess it is also not easy to find the right wind audio file or even to create it by yourself - without annoying side noises - so pure wind.
In terms of volume, the wind seemed good to me so far.
The topic "good wind in SL" seems to me not so simple.
