Interesting hybrid
A few notes before I get started:
- I use a smaller avatar (racial reasons for where I role play)
- I use the Kemono body
Usually when I buy armor sets like this on the marketplace, I have a feeling in the back of my mind that it'll be rigged for Human bodies and I'll just be wasting lindens. Since it made no mention of rigging in the description, I took a chance on this armor.
Of the two armor sets I purchased, this one has more parts (in terms of pieces on an individual piece of armor), but I found certain pieces (especially the legs) were a bit janky and the offset was a bit weird. Resizing and repositioning was a bit of a challenge with the legs because for whatever reason, the positional axis doesn't line up with the actual object... and since I cam in close to my avatar to look for skin breaks or other conflicts, it was a bit annoying that I had to zoom out so I could position the legs properly.
The armor pieces are a mixture of mesh and prim in some places, so resizing might be challenging depending on how small your avatar is. It makes for an interesting hybrid in terms of armor design, but can make it a bit difficult to work with (especially if you're new to editing).
Because of how many pieces are on the different pieces of armor, it's not exactly newbie friendly, but it's a great armor set if you're experienced with modding and can make it work for you.
None of the armor pieces are rigged (even if some parts suggest it), allowing for easy repositioning, resizing and realigning. It's not compatible with Kemono outside the box, but if you know how to mod, it's easy enough to make it work.
The set includes clothing for the vanilla body (non-mesh bodies), so if you're new to Second Life and/or don't use a mesh body, this is a great set to purchase if you don't want to deal with the hassle of finding clothes that work on top of everything else.
Not a bad purchase if you need a nice sci-fi armor set.
As always, I love your armors
Many parts will be useful for an avatar that I had in mind, thanks!
