Eclectica Gothic French Boots

Quality original mesh accessories, virtually handcrafted with love. These boots are copyable and modifiable and can be worn without any additional mesh feet.

These, like all Eclectica pieces, are original mesh and unique to Eclectica. No templates are used.

These are original mesh boots, unique to Eclectica. They are inspired by some early 19th century boots. I wanted to make something richly flamboyant and historical for a dark Victorian/ Steampunk/ Gothic look. This set has darker, gothic hues, with a little colour gradation for interest. I have included one pale silvery version of the textures so that you may hand-tint them to your own design.

Eclectica Gothic French Boots each contain a single removable script of 64 kb, and they have a land impact of 1 prim per item, making them very kind to the virtual environment.

They are texturechanging. Just touch a boot (when in an area that allows scripts to run), and a dialog menu will appear in the top right corner of your screen. This will guide you through resizing and retexturing.

There are 9 floral fabrics to choose for the main fabric, 9 for the tassel and piping, 9 for the main upper (on the toe and heel) and 9 for the metal closures.

Fabric colours are pale grey, dark grey, violet, red, chocolate, amber, green, aqua and blue. The tassel/piping colours are the same. The toe/heel and clusure options are silver, dark grey, gunmetal, black, bright gold, dull gold, bronze, pale copper and dark copper.

All faces may be manually tinted using the edit menu, so remember that if you'd like a colour to be more saturated or a slightly different hue, you can augment that with tinting.

The boots are simple to wear. First, remove all mesh feet and shoe bases, then just add each boot and it will attach to your lower leg.

Adjust the alpha for your leg according to your mesh body instructions.

If you wish to move them up or down your leg or rotate them slightly, you may do so as they are unrigged. You may also want to adjust your hover height (in appearance mode).

If you are using a system or BoM body, use the alpha foot-hider included. The alpha is full perms, and the texture is included to allow you to reupload it combined with other alphas if you want to save on layers worn. This is helpful if you are using BoM and are making use of alpha textures to hide parts of your body.

I have included versions adjusted to Belleza Venus, Slink Physique and Maitreya Lara, using a medium-sized avatar. (These are not the only bodies that will work with these boots, but they may help most people).If your avatar varies greatly from the norm, you may still need to adjust the size of the boots and height that they sit up the lower leg. I will be happy to help if you have any difficulty doing this. It's not hard :)

If needed, these pieces can be resized manually using the edit menu ( as well as via the script). They are unrigged, so you may adjust them as needed. Obviously, the demo version is not modifiable and won't demonstrate the modifiable properties.

The scripts can be deleted, but you will want to first keep a master copy in your inventory.
