Designed to play back a single message OR lengthy series of messages in a loop, with programmable changeable colors, fonts, text alignment and speed.
Features:
- 100% mesh construction for quick loading of single texture fonts, and truly flat display.
- Simple setup with advanced customization features for multiple messages, color changes, and speed
- 20 different fonts installed
- Listen mode to allow direct entry of display (and programming commands) via chat. Can be set to the owner and owner's objects, or anyone.
- Networked mode allows a sign to control multiple other signs in the same region.
Display your custom message by entering it in the sign's enclosed notecard, or use your own. The marquee reads from the first notecard it finds in inventory.
You do not need to use these commands, you can delete everything in the card or replace with your own and just enter your message in the card.
Any notecard line not beginning with // is processed. You can temporarily comment out sections to skip by placing // at the beginning of a line.
The marquee displays a "page" of lines, depending on how many lines of text it can display, then waits for the time determined by the speed setting before processing the next "page"
You don't have to use any commands, just enter as much text as you need, but it will be displayed at the default color, speed, and alignment.
At the end of the notecard, the marquee goes back to its default settings.
If the text line is longer than the display screen, it will wrap around to the next line, however SL can only read notecard lines up to 255 bytes, so if your line is over 100 characters or it may cut off the beginning of the line.
Between lines of text in the notecard you can enter commands to change colors, font, alignment, the display time and more
An example notecard is included in the sign. Edit or replace it with your own notecard.
COMMANDS
Use a single command per line.
Empty lines are skipped, to insert a blank/empty line into the message enter <blank> on a line.
At the beginning of the notecard, the marquee begins with the default color and automatic line centering.
To change the text alignment, on its own line place a <left>, <right>, or <center>
To change colors, enter one of the following on a line: <white>, <grey>, <black>, <red>, <green>, <blue>, <yellow>, <cyan>, <magenta>, <orange>. Or for any other color, enter a color vector by itself on a line. (like : <0.6, 0.2, 0.2>)
To change the speed of the display use the speed setting with the seconds you wish it to wait at the end of a page, such as <speed 2>, <speed 30>, <speed 9.5> etc.
<upper> changes subsequent lines to all capital letters (some fonts ay already be all caps). <normal> returns them to normal. <lower> forces all lower case.
<randomcolor> and <randomfont> will select a color or font at random.
To change fonts, use <font 1> through <font 20>. Examples: <font 6>, <font 13>, <font 2>.
<randomspeed> will introduce up to a half second random difference in the base speed, to prevent duplicate signs from appearing to all change at once.
<stop> will freeze the display. So if you only wish to display a page of text and then freeze the board, use this command after your message.
The display will remain frozen until you edit the notecard again.
LISTEN MODE & CONTROL OTHER SIGNS controls are listed in the full instructions, you can read them at the shop. Owner or any chat will allow control of the board via chat from an avatar or objects, including the loading of different notecards to play back.

Better than bestest
Bought 10 minutes ago and have it setup perfectly, also it shows as 17 prims for my usage, not 33, so even better!
Worse than worthless
My original review gave this 2 stars but after wasting nearly 2 hours trying to get this to work, I've given up. Regardless of the format and following the instructions this thing simply doesn't not work. It does NOT WORK and will NEVER WORK - The lines never show up properly and unless you want to spend hours trying *and failing* to get this to work properly, buy something else. I own other marquees made by Grebo and they have always worked great. This one DOES NOT WORK!!! <period> Perhaps Grebo will contact me and help me fix the endless problems with this mess, if so.... I will gladly update this review. Cheers!
Awesome!
I've had this one for awhile, and am just now coming to write a review. It's a great marquee, light on impact, and easily configurable to say exactly what you want.
