Opener of the Way, Trickster; remover of obstacles. A gatekeeper, associated with crossroads and entrances. All ceremonies must begin with him.He may appear as an old man or a small child; symbols include a key and a cane of guava wood. His colors are red and black or black and white and his numbers are 3,7,11, and 21. He favors candy, cigars, rum, and tobacco. Cognate with the Holy Child of Atocha, St. Anthony of Padua, Papa Legba, Hermes, Mercury, Ganesha, Loki, and Anubis.
