Nice base for a flaming lyre.
I reskinned it with animated flames. It looks great. Just one problem. Some of the sounds seem to get stuck in loops.. and the scripts have to be reset in order to get it to stop pulsing or making its summon into being sound when triggered from the HUD. So the sounds that do not end.. are when it's taken out ,and put away. I've worked around it for now by simply resetting it, but it's a mild hassle that could be improved upon. I suspect some script logic isn't fully processing correctly now, perhaps from an lsl base coding update, but that's speculation on my end. Otherwise, magnificent product!
Very pretty but the price tag is a bit high.
I love what VOID makes and I get theirs a degree of reliability that comes with the name brand. However I can also get a variety of HUDs from this same store that can tailor make me into the omnipotent cosmic horror of my dreams. Each with SO much more functionality then this.
As well designed and as beautiful as this Lyre is, it just feels... lacking for what the price tag suggests. Also I'm not accusing them of being misleading or anything. Whats in the description is whats in the box, and I bought it because I had the spare funds to give it a try.
Also side note, a big oversight in my opion is the lack of gestures that can be linked to chords. Its what I was secretly hoping for and just wasn't said in the description but alas... Linking the Lyre chords via gestures would allow people to play it via hotkeys. Which would make the instrument feel more authentic and allow people to be better in time with any custom compositions than the point & click method...
TLDR: Lack of hotkeys for chords is disappointing. But overall its a nice little instrument, and if 999L$ isn't a huge investment for you, and you like how it looks, then get it.
Love.. But..
Love the Lyre itself, but everytime I open a Void box, its LOUD. Could ya tweeeeek the unpacker sounds to be a bit more quieter..? Like the sound itself is ICONIC, but too loud.
Back to the Lyre, Void never fails to disappoint in their musical instruments. Animation, and tunes are just chefs kiss.
