All Moons of the Solar System
The nightly sky reveals its magical beauty and presents its amazing celestial bodies in Cinema Scope. We live on a wonderful blue planet amid of light and darkness, amid of time and space. And this infinite space has to offer a few interesting satellites already in our neighbourhood:
MEET THE PLANETS!
---------------------
- Unpack The Solar System and drag it from your inventory to wherever you like to place it.
Then click either on the Sun to receive an overview (Table of Contents) with links to the individual planets of the Solar System or click directly on any celestial body to receive information about it and its moons.
The Solar System has a radius of about 5 meters pre-adjusted. But you can freely modify the size, the distance, the selfrotation speed and the speed of the celestial bodies' orbits. (All included scripts are open source and fully modifiable).
The Sun has preadjusted about the size of a basketball or even larger that means that Pluto would have to be more than 100 meters away to match the accuracy.
You are therefore free to change any size and any distance and thereby to adjust it to match your own needs.
-------
Changing the size
-------
Switch to Edit mode (Ctrl+3) then mark "Edit linked parts" and choose the desirable body and stretch or shrink it (Ctrl+Shift)
------
Changing the distance
------
Switch to Edit mode (Ctrl+3) then mark "Edit linked parts" and choose the heavenly body and drag it to a new position.
------
Changing the selfrotation speed
-------
Switch to Edit mode (Ctrl+3) then mark "Edit linked parts" and choose your celestial body. Then go to its Contents and open the script "Texture Rotation"
There you will find a line that looks like this:
llSetTextureAnim( ANIM_ON|LOOP|SMOOTH, ALL_SIDES, 1, 1, 0, 1, -0.05 );
Change the value (in this case -0.05), increase or decrease it for speed adjustment, set -0.05 for one direction, set 0.05 for the opposite direction. Set -0.01 or 0.01 for very slow movements and higher numbers for higher speed.
-------
Changing the orbital speed
-------
Switch to Edit mode (Ctrl+3) and click on the sun. Go to the Contents and open the Rotation Script.
You will find a line similar to this
llTargetOmega(<0,0,1>,-0.2,1.0);
Change the value -0.2 to 0.2 for the opposite direction increase the value to increase the orbital speed.
The Solar System uses high resolution pictures of NASA satellites and telescopes for the textures of the Planets. The Sun shines bright like in RL and illuminates the planets on their endless course. The System uses total 11 Prims (for each planet 1 plus the sun and the moon) but you have full copy permission in the case you would like to use it for example with a Rezzer in a low prim area.
-----------------------
- Two planets meet in space. Says the one: "Hi, long time no see. How are you?" Says the other one: "Very bad, I have people!". The other one: "Hey, don't worry it's not cureless, it won't last forever!" :-)

very good
love it, realistic and good note giver about planets when clic on it....a way to change many things on it too if need.... the only thing is the texture of sun, i don t like it much but can be retextured ... so it s just perfect. :)
Awesome detail, a real pleasure to watch. Great service when I had a question.
