Environment/Random Sound Script/Set
***
Try the DEMO here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dizza/123/188/334
***
You only need to put the script:
RandomSoundPlayer
along with some sound files in a object and you are ready to go.
The script will play the files in the inventory randomly in a given interval.
Script is controlled via touch.
The EnvironmentSound Boxes using this script:
• City
• Market/Fair
• Nature
• Sea
• Village
are pre configured with multiple sounds, matching the named environment.
************** Options for the script: **************
• On / Off
• Volume (Low / Mid / High)
• Area - defines how far the sound reach in meters
Values between 1 and 100 (meters) will be accepted
100 will be Unlimited
!!! If a limitation of the range isn't crucial stay with Unlimited !!!
(the feature is still a bit buggy - blame Linden Lab)
!!! Notice: Change of volume or area will only affect sounds started after the change. So it takes up to 30 seconds to "hear" the change. !!!
• Admin
Here you can enter the UUID of an another SL Resident who should also be allowed to interact with the script.
Only script NOT for the pre configured boxes:
• Min / Max Interval
Defines the interval for the sounds to be triggered. Multiple sound can be played in the same time.
Example: Min 5 / Max 20 (Default)
The script plays one of the sounds (randomly) in an interval of at least 5 and at most 20 seconds.
If the sound file triggered after e.g. 7 seconds is 25 seconds long and the next sound is triggered after another 10 seconds
The first sound will still play for 15 seconds and the second sound will be played also and so on...
This will give your environment a more "true-to-life" feeling.
Change the values to find a good "mix" for your creations, depending on the length of your sound files & how "busy" you like it.

Nofu
