setting them as bar and putting anything else as top just takes the scales off. good scales. but just don't work with lolas less you want to run around naked.

Just what I needed.

Before I go into the review of the product, I just want to say the customer service is excellent here. I wasn't able to edit the scales as I want for a specific look and Eve the creator quickly helped me along with it.
Now to the product, as a merman in second life it's hard to find scales for my mer-tails, there are some tails that come with scale layers, but those scales usually are for females to cover the breast area and they look rather flat. The scales here are very nicely rendered, they have a shimmer effect that blends with the skin, looks great for us Mer-folks.
The bottom line is if your a Mer-folk and you like to enhance the look of your tail, then add some scales to the overall look of your AV; and these Mer Scales are the best, regardless if male or female. The white scales even goes well with my silver and pewter tails.

The picture doesn't do these scales justice. They are beautifully detailed,and more than reasonably priced. Full 5 stars and then some.

These scales perfectly matched the scaly tail of my Nagi character, which I was delighted to find. They're fine, good quality and are as customisable as the clothes editor in SL will allow. The fact it's also been provided on multiple layers only adds to ease of use.
