The Gift card usage:

1. REZ your card on the ground (make sure the region is available to rezz) to make it transferable and take it back to your inventory- (If you dont do this you wont be able to transfer it to someone else)

2. First, click "Menu" and choose "Verify" to validate that this is a genuine gift card.
NEVER GRANT DEBIT PERMISSIONS UNTIL YOU HAVE VERIFIED YOUR GIFT CARD IS GENUINE.

3. Find an item you would like to purchase at the store. (you will find it inside your Instruction Notecard)
