LockGuard Radio doesn’t require parcel media permissions—it’s a fully independent radio system that plays anywhere, anytime, using SL sounds. Whether you're in a rented shop, hanging out in-world, or just want some background music, LockGuard Radio goes where you go. Right now, we have a few small stations managed by LockGuard Radio, featuring original songs about Second Life that you won’t hear anywhere else. But soon, we’ll be opening the doors for Second Life residents to create and host their own stations.

Listeners can tune into unique, user-created stations. LockGuard Radio isn’t just a music database—it’s a platform where users can control the airwaves. Host your own station, curate your own tracks, and set the vibe exactly how you want for your station. We provide the network, but you run the show.
Be sure to go to System -> Rating to set your preferred content rating.
Listening to PG/mature stations on LockGuard Radio will always be free. However, adult Stations will require a Premium LockGuard Radio.
*** Censorship & Content Ratings ***
LockGuard Radio does not censor stations or content unless it explicitly violates the Second Life TOS. Instead, we provide a robust content rating system that aligns with both personal content preferences and sim region restrictions.
- Listeners can set their radios to match their comfort level. Any stations or songs beyond that rating will be automatically filtered.
- Regions determine the maximum rating allowed. If your personal setting is higher than the region’s limit, it will automatically adjust while you’re there.
- A report feature is available for flagging content that exceeds a station’s set rating. Every listener can report content from a radio.
This system ensures everyone has full control over what they listen to, without restricting the creativity of station hosts.

Right now, we’re operating with small, LockGuard-managed stations. But soon, you’ll be able to launch your very own LockGuard Radio station. YOU will be able to host your own LockGuard Radio Station-- and be a star host! The upcoming LockGuard Radio Broadcaster will offer multiple, easy-to-use methods for getting your content live.
- 30-second song sections with no long, awkward pauses
- Supports 10 and 20-second clips as well
- A track editor to trim out unnecessary silence
- Three times more efficient than other systems for content uploads
