The Interdynamics KG-9 is little more than a semi-automatic only pistol sold on the civilian market in the US during the early 1980s; it's basic design being essentially a Swedish Carl Gustav M/45 submachine gun condensed to a compact one-handed weapon. Early models were produced in open-bolt configuration, making it extremely easy for gangbangers, criminals, and terrorists to convert the weapon to fully-automatic fire, many were also legally converted to select-fire submachineguns by registered gunsmiths before 1986 (due to federal law, no newly made select-fire weapon can be owned by a civilian in the United States unless it was registered and already owned before 1986.) Because open-bolt weapons are so easy to illegally convert to full auto, they became illegal to produce in the United States; models existing before this law was put into place were still legal to posess however. Due to this change in laws, the KG-9 was produced in closed-bolt configuration. Later, around 1994-1996, the KG-9 was banned by name under the Clinton "Assault Weapons" Ban, because of this Interdynamics changed it's name to Intratec and produced the weapon under a new name: the Intratec TEC-9. Modified shorter, smaller, varients existed to further thrive under the Clinton Ban called the TEC-DC9. In 1999 a TEC-DC9 was used during the Columbine Massacre school-shooting tragedy and not long after Intratec, due to poor light from media and political criticism went out of business. Many legally owned and registered select-fire pre-1986 submachine gun KG-9s still exist on the NFA (National Firearms Act rules) civilian market in the United States and because of this these weapons are popular props in Hollywood movies and TV shows and are likely to appear in the media. Some examples of movies and TV shows the KG-9 / TEC-9 have appeared in are: Big Trouble in Little China, Sin City, Miami Vice, The A-Team, Robocop, etc.

Firing: To fire the gun, simply enter mouse view mode and left mouse click. Holding down in automatic will fire until the left mouse button is released, semi automatic will fire once per mouse click.
