The Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun first came onto the market in 1979. It is an interesting shotgun in that it features both semi-automatic fire and pump action. With the turning of a switch on the firearm, a gas tube is blocked thus allowing pump action cycling. The weapon ceased production in 2000 due to lack of sales and interest. The weapon can accept a wide variety of barrel chokes for varying effects of spread when firing buckshot rounds, but can also fit less-lethal systems like tear gas launchers for police use, or grenade launchers for military use. The weapon has been produced for the civilian market and for a short time was available in the US before being banned on questionable grounds that it does not carry a "sporting" use purpose. The weapon has seen use in several African countries, namely Rhodesia (no longer existent,) and South Africa, as well as some police forces in Europe, mostly Italy where it originates.

Firing: To fire the gun, simply enter mouse view mode and left mouse click. Holding down in automatic will fire until the left mouse button is released, semi automatic will fire once per mouse click.
