The harpsichord pre-dates the piano by hundreds of years. A harpsichord, unlike a piano, plucks the strings with a small quill called a plectrum. The spinet harpsichord is a smaller version of a standard harpsichord. They were perfect for more intimate settings in the home.

This is a beautiful harpsicord, rife with detail and the recordings.... so lovely. I'm so impressed with this and I wish it had more songs!! That's the only drawback! LOVE!
