Thanks for your interest in my sail boat Felita 1_8 :)
This sail boat is nearly 100% Mesh and will of course require a viewer capable of showing that.
Felita 1_8 is set with the BWind sail engine that originally was written by Becca Moulliez.
I have how ever changed quite a lot in the different scripts to match the sail experience to what I like
and think sailing means. That Said its not a speed boat or the fastest sail boat in the harbour.
Now its pretty easy to sail in Second Life. After you rez the boat, Right click the hull and choose "Sail!"
from the Pie Menu. The captain sits first. There are places for 2 others to sit on the sail boat.
If for some risen it is difficult to sit in the correct spot as captain, you can try to aim your mouse at the
seat to the Left of the rudder stick and choose Sit there.
When seated and ready its time to hit the Seven Seas and enjoy the Felita 1_8. Type "Raise" in chat and
hit enter. The main sail is now hoisted and the boat begins to move a bit. At the root of the Mast you see
the HUD (Head Up Display) With some coloured letters. With the Keyboard Key's forward and back
you turn the sail either left or right and see that the HUD responds with changing colours.
The aim is to get the letters Green, meaning that the sail is set perfectly and forces the sail boat forward.
Cyan is less good, Yellow is worse and if Red letters, the sail boat stops moving.
To steer the sail boat you use the Keyboard Keys Left and Right. The rest of sailing is mostly to practice and
enjoy it.
If you want to know more about sailing and wind and sail boats I can recommend the internet.
A good place to start is:

I will keep you updated with changes in Second Life and its effect on the Felita 1_8 and make updates
when they are needed.
The boat is set Copy and Modify. So you need have no worries about losing the boat in a bad sim cross and you can
change Fx the animations/poses to some you like better.
I dont provide Texture maps and so for the Felita 1_8, the best option is to keep the textures where I have set them and
use colours where I have done so :)
If you modify the parts, be aware to keep the right link order for all parts to work.
Thanks again for you interest and happy sailing.
Bertram Merlin.
