Fight Club Kiosk
----------------

As an option on your SL property, you can enable health, which means that you (and others) can be killed by weapons. Being killed means you get sent to your home location... if you've walked halfway across the world, be careful! If the land you are is health enabled, you will see a small heart on your display, and a percentage indicator. Impact or damage delivered by scripted weapons can reduce your health.

This kiosk has some objects that may help you survive, and that can (and should!) be used as models for more advanced technology built by our residents.

To buy something, hover to see the price, and then right click to buy a copy.

To attach a weapon you buy, drag it from inventory to your body. Sometimes you may buy a weapon that isn't set to attach to the right part of your body (it will often attach first to your head). In this case, select the object and drop it, then click on it and reattach to the correct part of your body.

In general, fire weapons by switching to mouselook (press the M key or scroll wheel all the way into your avatar), choosing a target, and pressing the mouse button. Different weapons may have different behaviors, etc.

Swords and other close range weapons are often operated by pressing down the mouse button, then the movement keys. Give it a try.

To build your own weapons, buy one (the mini-gun is a good starting point) and modify the scripts for use on your own creations. Every scripted objects has a certain amount of script 'energy' that determines how fast it can move, how often it can run sensors, etc. The amount of energy is a function of the volume of the object. So BIG objects can fire at a rapid rate, and small ones less so, for example. But of course big objects have high mass and can only accelerate slowly, etc.

By clever design/scripting, you can craft specialized weapons or defenses that optimally use their energy - this will be a big part of the fun of SL.
