This simple script will allow you to create a light source that flickers randomly using the glow and lighting attributes.
No setup needed. Just drop it into the prim you wish to make flicker and the script will do the rest. The script is full permission if you ever wish to make adjustments.
See item in Second Life- Make an object flicker
Easy but limited
I needed a softer glow, and it doesn't let you set the intensity of it. But for other projects, it seems to work well. Just not what I wanted for what it was purchased for.
Works as expected
The script worked as I expected it to. I was able to alter it some to suit my needs.
Yessss !!!
It really does what it should do! Well done! Only 4 Stars; yes, as it limits the option of the light setting and thus can't be made really bright - but agin the effect is perfect!
Just what I needed
Changed a few numbers, added some other components and have myself a small thunderstorm ;-D
Thank you!
This worked perfectly for the grill I'm making. The customer service is awesome too, he got right back to me when I asked him a question about some of the things.
Script not commented.
How difficult would it have been to add basic comments to the script on how to change the parameter for intensity, interval, etc?
By the time you figure out how to change the parameters yourself, you could have written the script yourself.
