Fnordian FLOOD Raindrop Vendor (Boxed) Version 1.1

This low-prim, copyable, stylish vendor sells up to ten different products, all displayed simultaneously.

Permissions: Copy, Modify. Scripts are copy-only.

SETUP

1. Grant debit permissions. These are needed so that the vendor can:
a. Automatically refund money if an incorrect amount is paid (they won't be given the product).
b. Automatically refund money if set to group only mode and an non-group members pays (again, they won't receive the product).

2. Drag pictures of each product to the panels on the vendor.

The panels are numbered so you can match them up in the "_products" notecard in the vendor's contents, but (as you can see), they form a U-shape, starting with 1 at the top-left and ending with 10 at the top-right.

3. Open the vendor's contents and edit the "_products" notecard.
a. Enter one product per line in the following format: #|name|price
EXAMPLE: 1|Antique Bookcase|150

b. When you're done, save the notecard.

NOTE: All prices must be at least L$1. You can't sell products for L$0 from this vendor.

4. Place the items to sell in the vendor's contents. They must have the *Exact Same Name* as you've entered in the "_products" notecard.

Note: Make sure you have copy/transfer permissions on all items you're selling (these are *your* permissions -- you can set the next owner permissions to anything you like).

LOGO

To customize your vendor for your store, drag-and-drop your own logo on the top middle panel.

RESIZING

The Raindrop vendor may be manually resized (edit, hold ctrl-shift, then click and drag a white box), but keep in mind that since it's made out of mesh, larger sizes will have a higher PI (prim equivalence) and use up more prims on your land. At the default size, the vendor has a land impact of only two PI.

SPLIT PROFIT

If you wish to split the profits from sales of all items in the vendor, do the following:

1. Open the "_split_profit" notecard in the vendor's contents.
2. Enter a valid avatar key after SPLIT_PARTNER=
3. Enter a split percentage as a decimal value after SPLIT_PERCENT=
EXAMPLE: SPLIT_PERCENT = 0.5
The above example would give your split partner 50% of all sales.

To stop splitting profits, simply delete the avatar's key from the "split_profits" notecard and re-save it.

MENU

Click the logo area at the top of the vendor to bring up the menu.

¤ IMs On - This option will send an IM message to the owner when anyone purchases an item from the vendor.

¤ IMs Off - This option disables sending of IM purchase messages.

¤ Help - Offers the owner the vendor's instruction manual notecard.

¤ Group Only - This option will only let group members buy from the vendor. Any non-group member who tries will have their money refunded instead. Group members must set their active group to the vendor's group prior to making a purchase.

¤ Anyone - This option lets anyone buy from the vendor.

¤ Discount - This option brings up a sub-menu with discounts from 10% to 75% (plus None). Choose a discount and the price of all items in the vendor will be adjusted by the discount percent. When your sale is over, simply choose "None" from the menu to return to regular prices. Please note: the minimum price for any item in the vendor is L$1, even after discount (e.g., if you discount a L$1 item by 75% it will still cost L$1).

¤ Float On - This option enables float text above the vendor, showing the current item and its price.

¤ Float Off- This option disables all price float text.

¤ Float Auto - This option will display the price float text when someone clicks a display panel and then automatically hides it after 30 seconds.
